Applying for an ABN

Non-residents need to provide either:

You can still apply for an ABN online if you don’t have a TFN. When you've completed your application, record your reference number. You'll need it when sending documents or contacting us. Without it, you may need to lodge a new application.

When you send documents please complete this coversheet External link including your reference number so we can match your documents with your application.

Documents should be sent by the due date specified at the end of your application. If they're not sent within 43 days of submitting your application, it will be refused.
