Removal Terms of Service

 

Pricing

  • Whizz provides a door-to-door service. The hourly rate starts once we arrive at the first address and stops once unload is complete at the final address.
  • A call out fee applies to bookings.
  • Removal pricing starts at a minimum of 2 hours with charges calculated per minute (hourly rate calculated pro rata).
  • Full payment is required at the end of the job.  
  • The final price is calculated using the actual start and finish time.

Additional Costs

  • We will charge any extra for using more then 1-2 flights of stairs but no lift charges.
  • Any extra-large item must be notified to the office prior to the move together with full descriptions and pictures of the item (i.e. piano, pool table, gym equipment, etc). Heavy surcharges may apply for specific items. We will not be responsible if client, or a representative of the client isn’t present throughout the duration of the move.

Access

  • Each truck is fully-equipped with the following materials: specialised removal blankets, cardboard, specialised trolley, removal carrying straps, loading ramps. However additional charges may apply for difficult access, heavy fragile items and to provide tools to assemble/dismantle goods. Additional materials can be purchased from the removalists upon request; these include: bubble wrap, shrink wrap, tape, boxes and mattress/couch plastic covers.
  • Although every professional attempt to move items will be carried out as directed by the client, we reserve the right to refuse service at any point.
  • The client, or the clients representative, must always be present during the move. The client must show us everything required to be moved and must check that nothing extra is taken, or items missed.

Damage

  • We are not responsible for damage to fix or repair if customer refuses the professional recommendation as to the safest way of transporting your items.
  • We don’t fix or replace damaged items inside the boxes unless arranged packing service subcontractors were responsible for the packing service.
  • We don’t fix or replace damage to stone, including marble, concrete, granite, composite or similar items due to their inherent fragility.
  • We don’t fix or replace any electrical fault unless caused by physical damage such as fragile TV, fridges, washing machines, dryers and microwaves.
  • Any damage caused during the move must be notified by email to no later than 24 hours after the move. Any damages reported should include as much information as is known regarding the nature and extent of loss or damage, the value or items and the cost of repairs.
